Pink Jewel

She's budding now, but this is how she looked last year.  I am hoping that the blooms are this beautiful. Our friends, Kaye and Jamie gave her to me a few years ago.  She is a jewel on dreary winter days.

Today we drove by the house where my parents use to live.  My mom had planted two camellia bushes at their walk way.  They are at least twelve feet tall now and full of red blossoms.

Driving by and seeing those shrubs full of blooms was like a hug from my mom.

This is the last week of February.  Enjoy these next few days, spring will be here before you know it.

  1. It's such a joy to see your pink jewel. We have nothing blooming, but there is hope we are warming up slowly, so hopefully sping will be here soon.
