Love and Hope

We call it the Rescue Garden.  Samantha was around 9 years old, the corporation that owned the land behind us was clear cutting the forest we had walked through her whole life.  She and I walked down through the woods one afternoon after the pulp cutters had left and dug up wild iris and anything else that we could carry back to the house.  It's a tiny garden, but one filled with love and hope.

That's what I wish for the world tonight, love and hope...and healing.
