It's Ok

I shared this on FB today.  It's sad but true, we have to be reminded of this.

"Sometimes it's ok if the only thing you did today was breathe."

There are days, we all have them, we are sick, we are overworked, we are stressed, whatever, there are days that it is really is ok to just do nothing but breathe.  I call them pajama days.  For me, they are few and far between, especially since I stopped my infusion treatments, but we need those days.

A day to just be.  A day to just breathe.  It's ok.

  1. I didn't do exactly this yesterday, but I did have a pretty lazy day. It was grey and drizzly and I just wanted to stay in and do nothing. I felt a little guilty and fought with myself and did some house chores, then finally gave in shortly after noon and spent the better part of the afternoon on the sofa. It was nice! I enjoyed it immensely.

  2. I've been sleeping in while I'm at my daughter but my vacation is coming to an end as I'm flying back home tonight and it's back to the hard labor tomorrow.
    It's been nice to just breath and take it easy and just be or do nothing.


  3. I call those days "having the yuckies". It is the same thing as you describe. I just wallow in it for the day. By the next day I am me again.
