Spring Weather

It has been a typical spring day in Alabama......warm, balmy, with a southern wind.
It has been a typical spring night in Alabama.....torrential rain, hail, forty to sixty mile per hour winds, thunder and lightening.

Driving home from class tonight, the roads were covered in leaves, limbs, and pine pollen, the temperature had dropped maybe ten or fifteen degrees, what a difference a couple of hours makes.

The dogs were beside themselves when we walked in the front door. They are terribly frightened of thunder and lightening, Astro gets under Rick's desk, Bear gets under the kitchen table, Buddy climbs up on the couch and Taylor, well she is not afraid of anything. She lies in the middle of the living room, as if to say, "bring it on"!

The rain, is falling on the tin roof, and is quite inviting. The storm line is past us now and it is getting cooler.....a great night for sleeping. My cup of hot tea awaits.....Good night, Sweet dreams.

  2. We have three dogs who need to get their business done---that storm is just about here. One of the dogs is sooooo afraid of storms. He is hiding in the laundry room right now.

  5. It's amazing the difference between the weather in the day you had there, and then the storm of the night! Hopefully it has all passed away again now and your little dogs can breathe easy again, apart from Taylor of course, who wasn't afraid in the first place!!!

And we had/are having similar weather. It was 85 degrees yesterday and as I sit here and write this it dropping below 50, raining buckets and the lightening/thunder is pouring in.

And I am waiting on the pups to show up. :) lil' chickens. heehee

  7. For NC it was just windy during the night and on my 35 mi drive to work but as soon as I got here the rain came with a vengance. I think it is still raining but not as hard. We need the rain but not all at one moment. Hope you had a restful night and feel great this morning.

  8. It was warm enough yesterday to work in the room where the skylights are. We had rain for several hours yesterday and although it wasn't on a metal roof it was very nice. With all the wind I'm just hoping the roof stays put!
