We played one of our favorite gigs tonight. We have been playing this gig for about 5 years and we love the venue and the people. It is a fundraiser for a museum a couple of hours from where we live.
Tonight they had a silent auction, a book signing and an artist fair with wine and cheese. And we played. They treat us like rock stars, but this community and group of people who love and cherish the arts are the true stars. I have never seen so much talent in one community. Not only visual arts but they also have one of the most active singer/songwriter organizations around as well.
Even though tomorrow is Friday, it will be my Thursday since I took off today to play this gig.
I am tired but content.
