Curious

I am naturally curious.......it is just a part of who I am.  Rick laughs and says that I get the whole story in sixty seconds, not really but I am easy to amuse.  I ask questions, not to pry but just because I am curious.
Ever since I was a child, I ask questions......I want to know why, what, where, how.
I tend to find almost everything interesting, and I love to learn new things.

When we were kids, my younger brother Ricky like to take everything apart, and then fix it.....he is hands on.
I asked questions.  My parents had us when they were older, I am sure the two of us were a handful. The other siblings were around ten and older when we were born.  My questions and Ricky's ability to take things apart drove them all crazy!  Ha,Ha!

My nephew Jordan asks questions, the funny thing......answering them is quite challenging but I am always up for it.  But, he also loves to work with his hands( he is Ricky's grandson) It is wonderful to see our traits in him.

My questions have not always made life pleasant, as a teenager I questioned my parents' religious beliefs.
My mom could not deal with it, but my dad answered honestly and for that I was grateful.  As the years have gone by, my questions have continued, my curiosity has not killed me yet!  One of my many jobs that I have had through the years......I did research for a friend who had a PR firm......I loved it!
I love figuring out "who done it", and rarely has a movie plot or book ever stumped me.

I encourage others to question, to be curious.....it's ok to want to know, it's ok to ask.  I honestly think that the world would be a better place if we would question, not take everything for granted, not take every story
for the truth.  I guess as children most of us were told not to ask so many questions,  that statement never
registered in my brain, thank goodness. I try not to be a busybody, not to be rude, not to question with anger
or hostility, but I will be the first to tell you,  I am curious, I ask a lot of questions!

  1. It is good to be curious and ask questions one of my daughters would always want to know why.......if told she couldn't do something she want to know why not this made me think as to why I was saying no although at times it was annoying and I wished she would just take "becasue I said so" as an answer........lol

  2. I like people who ask what they want to know. A curious mind is so much better in my opinion than letting others lead and listening to whatever comes your way and stopping there. I have always questioned what a doctor said, what the nuns told me, what a priest said. Consequently, I was not their favorite patient/student/church member. Oh well.

  4. There's a saying, "Curiosity killed the cat." But there's also the response, "Satisfaction brought him back." Curiosity shows a caring involvement in the wonders of life. When the questions cease, so does the full engagement in life. (Besides, if ya don't ASK, how ya gonna KNOW?)
