I write quotes on my board every day at work. Often the students copy them. Many of them laugh because the quotes are so diverse, everything from Buddha to Hemingway to the Beatles to Pooh Bear.
This quote by Hemingway is one of my favorites, I use it often. It is as pertinent today as when he wrote it. I would have loved to have met him.
" There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man;
true nobility is being superior to your former self." - Ernest Hemingway
