Look and See

"I wonder how many people I've looked at all my life and never seen."  - John Steinbeck

I read this quote, and then I read it again......it struck a nerve.
How many people have I passed, have I known.......and never really
seen?  

I know others do the same.......and I have felt that sensation of being invisible.  I know I must be guilty of causing others to feel
unseen.  In the past few years I have worked hard to change that trait......I want to connect, I want to see people......I want to acknowledge their existence......I want to see a person's value as a human, as part of this universe......and I want them to recognize mine as well.

Looking over, around or through.......never again do I want to be guilty of that......I want to see the people I look at.
