Storms are raging here tonight, so far we have dogged their wrath, others not so lucky.
My first peony blossom of the season, she smells heavenly. The plant came from my grandmother Mamie, more than 20 years ago. She and my grandfather, Johnny in the gold picture frame.
Blessings of safe shelter for us all tonight.

Safe shelter for you, too, Jilda. I LOVE peonies. They remind me of blousy, overdressed Sunday ladies! lol
ReplyDeleteMy mother had peonies--two bushes of them. She called them "Pinies" and her mother had given them to her. We always managed to cut some just before some storm flattened them.
ReplyDeleteLots of memories here. thanks, Jilda.
I love peonies. They are so fragrant and ruffly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHope you are not in the worst part of the weather I've been reading about.
